           Reviews of SLIDING ON RAINBOWS

"Sliding on Rainbows" is a smooth, captivating read. I love all the characters in this book, especially Crystal's Dad, whose mind works very much like Lissie's, and one of the teachers, Mrs. Roberts, who has an invisible friend as well: Herman, the pink elephant that flies around in the courtyard. "Sliding on Rainbows" is an adventure with a twist and lots of funny details. But more than that, it is a story about being different and how to deal with it, how to embrace one's special features instead of being ashamed of them."

A second, fun-filled sage that skillfully combines fantasy and modern technology! Author Jeanette Cottrell again delivers a story to be enjoyed by young and not so young alike.
This exciting adventure involved Crystal, a normal sixth grader and her little sister, Lissie – who is not so normal. As Crystal attempts to protect her little sister from other kids’ cruelty, she inadvertently adds her own to the mix. Then her sister disappears. This leads Crystal and her new found ‘ally’, Miguel, on a journey involving skateboards, purple dragons, red rainbows, wombats and the like. Crystal learns the true meaning of friendship and family as she searches for Lissie.
This writer has a knack for combining fantasy and modern terms in a smooth easy to read language. This reader guarantees a past paced and fun filled adventure meant to stretch the imagination and put a smile on any reader’s face, young or old!
